Our beautiful 110 sqm Our Marano apartment with an outdoor 35 sqm backyard is a must in Venice. The atmosphere makes this accommodation very warm and welcoming.
The very welcoming, spacious living/dining room area is the best part of this apartment. It has a comfortable couch, a dining table for four people, and a flat LCD Television with a Home Theatre DVD/USB system. Three large windows bfight up the room.
There are two very spacious bedrooms. One has a double-bed (can be converted into two single-beds if needed) and three windows making the room bright during the day. The second bedroom features two twin beds, a small closet and two windows allowing plenty of sunligh.
There is a door that leads to your private 35 sqm private garden which has a swing and a table. Here you can have breakfast or simply relax and enjoy your vacation before going out and explore the city.
The fully equipped and new kitchen is at your disposal. It has a refrigerator with a freezer. The fully equipped bathroom has a shower.
Air Conditioning is available for a little extra daily fee during summer.
The San Polo district is one of the most interesting areas of the city, being full of churches and hidden places to see as well as fascinating. Just five minutes away, you can reach by walking the Rialto area, one of the most appreciated area by tourists.
We stayed at this spacious apartment during the sweltering heat of July. Air conditioning is a bit extra which is (now) clearly marked- it wasn't when we booked and the staff was able to cover it for us. It has a lovely DVD player, but note that american Dvd's won't play on European DVD players, so we English speaking american's watched a fair amount of Italian television. The location was great for us, as we didn't want to be in the midst of all the tourists, it was easy to find, and close to many things, but a bit of a hike to St Mark's by foot. The bathroom was smelly, but we think it was because cleaning staff left a nasty bucket in there, so once that was taken outside it was much better. The kitchen was relatively well equipped-but be prepared to provide everything- salt, pepper, paper towels, soap etc. Nice washing machine, bring your own soap etc-with a line out back to dry. Lovely patio with porch swing and outdoor table for dining alfresco. It's on the ground floor which was great with suitcases, and far enough away from the water to avoid any smells, but close enough that if you wanted a gondola ride or needed to catch the vappertto to the other side you could. It was very dark, as all the windows have the dark shutters to keep the sun out. Its best feature is the spaciousness of the apartment, and the ease of arrival- very close to the agency office ( which is run by another agency-so a bit confusing when you go to check in). The Key to Italy staff was very responsive and extremely easy to work with, they provided step by step directions, maps and were amazing. The agency that is on site was nice, but not terribly communicative. (We got a note when they worked out the air conditioning, but not when they inspected the DVD player which led us to think they never came by) Still, overall the value was pretty good.
