The apartment is furnished with parquet. It is new and really comfortable. All the amenities needed for a great vacation are provided. There are two bedrooms with double beds. Both the bedrooms are carefully decorated.
The modern bathroom has a shower and the kitchen is fully equipped. A fold out bed is available for an additional guest. The apartment can accomodate up to five guests.
This bright, modern, recently restored apartment is located in the Vatican Area. Saint Peter's Dome, Castel Sant'Angelo, the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel are just steps away.
The Metro stop "Ottaviano" Line A is comfortable to move around. Restaurants, Pizzerias and shops are just across the street.
Via Cola di Rienzo and Via del Corso, the most famous shopping street are at your reach. From Vatican area is also very easy and comfortable to reach some stunning places such as Navona square and Campo de Fiori since you have only to cross the little bridge that streches over from Castel Sant'Angelo which is really close to your apartment.
We rented the apartment over the holidays and it worded out perfectly for us. Very welcoming and helpful owner and agent. Apartment was very comfortable and clean with a nice sized kitchen. Location is central,in a residential area close to indoor market, shopping area, and metro. Great bakery across the street.
This apartment is perfect for visiting the Vatican and a relaxing oasis after spending a busy day seeing the glorious sights of Rome. Giovanni and the team from The Key to Italy were so helpful and professional and helped make our stay in Rome unforgetable. The restaurant across the road "Il Bersagliere" was a real winner serving up some delicious food.
thanks Michael! glad you enjoyed your stay and our service! best Giovanni
Our experience in Rome was wonderful. The management company for this apartment was excellent. They were great communicators, check in was a breeze. Couldn't have asked for better service! The apartment was very clean and comfortable. It was in an excellent location and accessible to everything we wanted to see during our weekend long vacation. The apartment was located on a busy street so it was a bit noisy but didn't seem to impact our sleep. The shower was clogged during our stay and the air conditioning was a little inadequate. Although there were these couple of small negatives, it was a great trip, very nice apartment and we would definitely recommend apartment Michelangelo!
thanks for your kind review Debbie! keep in touch! Giovanni
A very nice apartment near the Vatican, between two subway stops, and within walking distance of the Vatican. There is a large large market, where one can buy anything one block away. There are a lot of very nice family owned restaurants within walking distances that are resonably price.
The personel of Key to Italy arrenged transportation from the airport at a fair price. We were able to check-in early in the morning. The location is excellent, a block away from the Vatican and a few blocks from the subway station. We enjoyed very much oue stay.
the appartment was what we expected to be. the description of the page was exact what we could see on it . The location is in an area with shops, restaurants an supermarket, very near the subway and beside the vatican and walking distance to other turistic places. We used the kitchen that has everything we needed. The airconditioner was perfect because it was very hot outside. The bathroom was confortable. We didn't have anyproblem.we were thankfull with the person we met at the appartment because she wait for us although we were really delate with our flight. I recomend this flat.
This apartment exactly met our needs particularly in its location. The train is 5 minutes walk and the train service excellent. It is an extremely easy walk to the Vatican from the apartment. There are many local restaurants, a large food market and local clothes markets nearby. Service was very good and when the TV needed adjusting, someone came quickly to assist. The apartment is on an interesting street and the only thing lacking is a verandah to sit out on and watch the passers-by.
The apartment was beautifully clean and comfortable and came complete with air conditioning! Could not have been better. The kitchen was fully fitted including dishwasher and washing machine. The apartment had two very comfortable double beds and a full range of furnture, crockery, cutlery, utensils, cooking pots and pans. The apartment was available immediately in the morning when we arrived from the airport and was available until we left for the airport around 7pm at no extra cost. It is situated very near to the Vatican. Short walk for sightseeing the Sistine Chapel, st. Peters and other Vatican museums. Easy access to the Metro to visit all other parts of Rome, such as the Colluseum, the Cappuchin Monks catacombs etc. The road outside can be noisy but this died down at around 11pm every night and was very quiet in the early hours, 2am-3am. Also closing the shutters and windows minimised noise so levels were definetely not a disturbance. Enjoyed the additional privacy and space of the apartment, especially after a busy day sightseeing. Bought produce locally for breakfast at very reasonable rates and there are various cafes and restaurants within a few minutes walking for an evening meal. The Vatican is illuminated at night and is beautiful.
Thanks Vera for the detailed review and suggestions! I hope to see you soon again in Rome! best Giovanni
We stayed at the Michelangelo apartment for 3 nights and had a wonderful weekend. The apartment was beautiful - very clean and well maintained and had everything necessary. A great location for visiting the Vatican with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Key to Italy staff very very helpful from initial enquiry to meeting at the apartment. Would have no hesitation in recommending this apartment and would stay here again should we return to Rome.
Giovanni we fell in love with the apartment. The huge market two blocks away was fabulous. We only had two meals in restaurants. The closeness to the Vatican Museums, St Peters and metro stop was just great. Jean
We stayed here in October 2010. Everything worked out very smoothly. The apartment was very clean, the kitchen looked almost brand new with brand new appliances. the apartment was on the third floor which is a bit of a hike up the stairs, however there is also an elevator so it is not a problem. The apartment was just around the corner from teh Vatican and about a 5 minute walk to St. Peter's Basilica, which made things very easy if you want to see the vatican. There were also numerous shops, cafes and restaurants near the apartment so everything is very close. The apartment did not have wireless internet, however there is a place just around the corner where internet acess is exceptionally cheap.
We arrived to Rome on October 8th, 2010 from the cruise. Even though the check-in time is 2pm, Giovanni was nice enough to let us in in the morning by 10am ( apartment was available). We loved the location, 5 minutes from Vatican and just few minutes from the farm market that we enjoyed immensly. The apartment was perfect for 2 families ( party of 4). Everything was great, the only suggestion I have is to add 2 more high chairs in the kitchen, this way people can eat there instead of brnging the food to the living room. We did enjoy eating dinner in the living room in the evening with windows wide open. however in the morning when we were in a hurry to leave and explore Rome, we would prefer something more casual, like the quick breakfast in the kitchen. This is just a suggestion and in no way it changed our opinion about the apartment and services provided by the Key to Italy. Thank you, see you in Rome
I highly recommend this apartment from both the location, it was a block away from the vatican, as well as the apartment itself. It was a lovely 2 bedroom. There was a great market just a couple of bloack away. The air conditioning worked marvelously. It was clean and it great condition. Giovanni was a great help. He helped us arrange transport from the airport and was there waiting with the key. We had an unexpected guest and they were able to accomodate her. Look at pictures on line. There are extremely accurate. The only slight downside was that because the apartment is in the hub of activity it is a bit noisy.
We enjoyed staying in this clean well appointed 2 bedroom apartment down the street from the Vatican. Giovanni met us at the apartment and was very helpful. The apartment is also quite close to the metro and there is a supermarket just around the corner. There is only one bathroom however this was not a problem for us. It is on a main road so it can be a little noisy at times.
We have had a great time in this accommodation. Comfortable, modern, well mantained and clean (which was very important with us). The apartment is located on via Canddia which is a busy street in the vatican area. All shops you might ask for and excellent pizza on the go or restaurants. Location was ok, Vatican is not as central as Spanish Steps but with a 15 min ride on public transportation we were able to be everywhere. Overall an excellent value for money!
This apartment is well maintained, spacious and big enough for 5 people. We had there a comfortable stay with 2 adults and 3 little children over Easter weekend. The walls of the Vatican are just around the corner. St.Peter's square and Vatican Museums - 2 minutes walk, Castel Sant'Angelo - 5. The other sightseeings on the other side of the river you can also reach by foot or use the public transport, which is very good there. The only one thing I didn't like a little bit about this apartment were the old windows, which let some wind and noise from the street. It wasn't a big problem, because, busy during the day the street was pretty quite in the night. The work of the agency, represented by Giovanni, was excellent: quick respond very reliable and punctual. In total I was very pleased with the accommodation and would recommend it further, especially to the people, who would like to spend more time in Vatican.
Apartment is just as pictured, new and very clean. Beds are comfortable. Bathroom clean. Location is supercental if you are interested in the Vatican Area and Castel Sant'Angeolo area, it's also very very easy to get to Spanish steps and Trevi fountain by underground. Campo Fiori and Navona area were a little more of a trouble at the beginning until we got accustomed with buses and public transportation, so my advise is to ask on your arrival how to get around by bus (underground is straightforward, there is a stop just next to the apartment). Buses are close at hand and a taxi is easy to get. Our choice proved to be excellent and I would indeed do it all again. The Key to Italy (Giovanni) has been very kind and easy to work with both at time of booking and on arrival/checkin.
Located on via Candia which is in the heart of Vatican/Prati district. This apartment was what we were looking for. We wanted to stay as close as possible to St.Peter where we were to attend a religious cerimony, so location was our primary choice. The apartment itself was well mantained, clean and exactly like we could tell from the pictures. Staff was nice and friendly, Silvia gave us directions and tips on our arrival.I'll use this service again soon.
This apartment has proven to be a great choice for our family of four. We've had a very comfortable stay and enjoyed the neighbourhood and Rome. It was minutes away from Vatican Museum, Sistine Chapel and St. Peter. Very clean, and comfortable. Beds are comfortable, kitchen is fully equipped with all amenities, living room and tv and stereo were all we needed to chill out after a long day of walking. Metro station is very close and convenient if you want to quickly reach Spanish Steps or Trevi Fountain area without walking too long. We usually walked in the morning to top spots (and often got lost which was great as well) and got back on public transportation at night when coming back. Overall a very positive experience. The agency was very helpful and easy to work with.
