I have just returned from five fabulous days in Trastevere. I know that The Key to Italy couldn't have arranged for the glorious weather (or did they?) but they made sure that our stay was first class. From the chaffeured mercedes at the airport to friendly and helpful Simone to met us at the apartment - everything was splendid. The apartment was spotless, exactly as described with fabulous views over the city - we could even see St Peter's basilica! Although the apartment was on the third floor it meant we had a peaceful night's sleep away from the trendy nightlife of Trastevere - the stair climb also justified an extra Gelato or brioche earlier in the day! The restaurants around the apartment were friendly, cheap and really good and all the major sights were a reasonable stroll away (30 mins to the Vatican, 20 mins to the Colleseum). The booking service was clear and helpful too. Definately recommended.
thanks Alexia!! :) Giovanni
First I would like to say that the staff at Key to Italy were great! The apartment was extremely nice and while it was a bit small for my own comfort level - the wonderful terrace made up for it. We have stayed at many apartments throughout Europe and this was the first with a kettle and a toaster - so it was a welcome change. The location was perfect - we were able to walk to all the major tourist attractions: Vatican; Coloseum; Trevi Fountain; Piazza Navona; Spanish Steps etc. etc. It is also very close to a grocery store and wonderful restaurants. We felt extremely safe at this apartment. I would definitely stay at this apartment again. For older travellers with mobility issues you should know that there are approximately 80 steps to the apartment (the price you pay for a wonderful terrace - worth it!) I would also like to say that the property manager was extremely helpful and accommodating - she even called us a cab when we left for the train station.
The apartment was exactly as described. We found it to be in a fairly convenient location if you didnt mind a bit of a walk to public transport. Plenty of great restaurants, cafes and bars in close vicinity. The check-in service was made easy with Simona there waiting for us on our arrival. If you are looking to stay in a real Roman suburb, this is for you.
My mother, my two kids (14 and 12) and I stayed at this apartment for 5 nights. We had a wonderful time. The apartment was exactly as it looks in pictures...even better! We LOVED the terrace and spent so much time out there! The weather was perfect for enjoying the outdoor areas. The location is great and within walking distance to so many places. We really enjoyed the restaurants at Trastevere. We cooked a few meals in the kitchen which was very well organized. The AC worked wonderfully. We will never stay in an hotel again in Rome if we are able to book this apartment.
Rome was the last city of our european tour and Terenzio apartment has been by far the best among the several vacation rentals we rented. It was the well equipped and mantained. The only minor drawback was the lack of an elevator in the building, but other than that everyhting was great. Air conditioning worked marvellous even though I must say we most of our time on the terrace, both for breakfast and to have some family chat at night. Trastevere area is superb for food, restaurants, bars and local attractions. The apartment is located on a quiet street and just next to the bridge connecting to Campo de Fiori. Car transfer from the airport was on time and very efficient.
