Located on the second floor of an elegant building our Aprtment Medici lies between Via della Croce and Piazza di Spagna, a pedestrian area away from any noise. This oustanding apartment is composed of a large living room, a fully equipped kitchen, three bedrooms and two bathrooms.
The living room is extemely elegant with its fascinating atmosphere, lacunar ceiling, fine wooden furniture, crystal chandeliers, a huge dining table, antique paintings and Persian rugs.
The kitchen is splited into two areas: a fully equipped cooking area fitted with burners, an oven and a dishwasher and a breakfast area furnished with a round table and chairs.
Two of the three bedrooms are triple rooms, each fitted with one double and one single bed, although an extra single bed may be added to each of them, while the third bedroom is located down a corridor and is fitted with a single bed.
Both bathrooms are fitted with shower. The apartment is equipped with washing machine, air conditioning and indipendent heating system. The windows of the living room and the triple bedrooms overlook Via della Croce, while the windows of the single room look onto an inner courtyard.
The Spanish Steps are one of the most elegant and romantic symbols of Rome. It is here that travellers will find the best boutiques in the city, with the shops of Via Condotti and Via del Babuino offering the very finest in luxury fashions.
Of course, it is not only the shopping opportunities which make this corner of Rome so attractive. The Barcaccia fountain, the Trevi fountain, the Ara Pacis monument, the Galleria Borghese, the Pantheon and Via Veneto are just some of the most famous sites in the area, which is also just a few minutes walking from Villa Borghese, a beautiful park in Rome and the perfect place for a picnic.
The area is also well connected to the rest of the city thanks to the location of Piazza di Spagna underground station right next to the Spanish Steps.
I think it is one of the most central locations in Rome. The apartment is spacious and as a family we much preferred staying in the apartment than in separate rooms in a hotel. The only drawback is That there is no lift, it is only two flight of stairs though so not too bad. The interior is a bit dated but still makes good value for money.
thanks Panos! I hope to see you soon again. best Giovanni
Great position abutting Piazza di Spagna, spacious and well appointed.I particularly liked the fact that we were able to cook in the well fitted out kitchen (pasta, rissotto naturally) and save some money for the more budget conscious of our group ie the daughters boyfriends.I have already recommended this apartment to some of my travelling retired friends.
Thanks Tony!! All the best! Giovanni
Everything was on time and as planned. Apartment is updated and very nice. Location is a walk out your door into the pedestrian zone, with access to everything from high fashion and fine restaurants. Beds are comfortable, apartment is comfortable. Any questions that we had were answered immediately. Would rent this again. Also the tour group argelentium that was reccomended by The Key to Italy were excellent. Ask for Tiberio for any tour, he is like having a professor of history as a guide. Do not forget to give him a 10% tip.
Hi Martin! I'm happy to hear you've enjoyed the apartment and Rome and I'm glad to hear you've also enjoyed the tour we have recommended by Tiberio! it's indeed the best way to jump start your Italian vacation! I hope to see you soon again! best Giovanni
We've had several holidays in Italy and have often wondered what a typical Italian apartment would be like to live in - well, now we know! This one was a real home, very spacious, a lounge/dining room with character. The flat was clean and well appointed with loads of wardrobe and drawer spaces in all the rooms. The oKey to italy were very gracious and helpful. Our one regret was that we only had four nights there out of our seven day stay in Rome. The place is just three minutes walking from Spanish Steps which is so much more beautiful and relaxing in the evening and it is surrounded byelegant streets and shops of Spanish Steps. A brief tip for Rome is to pay attention when crossing the roads, even in the presence of traffic lights, and don't hesitate too long in corssing the road.. If we ever return to Rome, which we'd love we' ll go for this area and this apartment. Just remind using comfortable shoes as Rome isn't that big that you need to take the Metro or bus every minute, however sightseeing can be tiring. Final tip: be aware - Rome is an amazing city but it isn't cheap..
My family stayed here for 8 nights to celebrate my 40th birthday, and we found the apartment to be wonderfully spacious. The pictures displayed on this website are very accurate. Whe our party walked in it was like just walking into the pictures. The apartment was very clean and well taken care of. The day we arrived we were welcomed by the gracious Malvina. She was quite friendly and explained all we needed to know about the Medici in a perfect and stainless English.. They even went out of their way o make our stay even more enjoyable by adding few more towels. Thank you! The location was very convenient. We were able to walk to major attractions and local restaurants quite effortlessly. I would highly recommend this property to friends or relatives. All in all this was a fabulous place to stay for location and space! Thanks for making this a great 40th birthday!
The Medici s a great apartment in a great location. Very comfortable for a family with three young adults! It was close to transportation, easy walking distance to all sites, and surrounded by great restuarants within a 15 to 20 minute walk. Most of the restaurants are just as likely to have locals as tourists. Marco, the guy who welcomed us was prompt, the apartment was perfectly set up at the moment of the check-in and it was provided with enough space for all the members of our group. I can't wait to return! As for The Key to Italy, they made it all so easy.
We had high expectations from Lora, given the photographs and the considerable rent -- and those expectations were exceeded.
The apartment is spacious, very comfortably furnished, and full of light. The kitchen is modern with everything you could want, the ceilings are high, the bathrooms large.
And the location -- we had no idea how terrific that would be. One block from the Tiber, easy walking everywhere in the historic city, yet just far enough from the hordes of tourists. The street is quiet at night -- a real plus. Rubina, who greeted us and checked in our our stay while we were there couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. Bottom line -- when we return to Rome we will want to stay here, and we would recommend Lora highly to any friends who want to go!
This apartment has large bedrooms, large living-dining room with lovely appointments, good bathrooms. My wife and I, along with another couple rented this apartment and would return again. The location is excellent- right in the center of activity and yet quiet at night. The only draw-back are the two flights of stair leading up to it. Other than that, it is perfect in every way.
