3rd timer to Rome, 1st time I've rented an apt. & will do so in the future! Those thinking of renting from "The Key to Italy" rest assured, you will be treated top-notch from booking to finish! Booked sev. weeks in advance & they answered any/all question promptly & professionally! Met me at the apt after a quick call from Termini, explained everything well, pointed out landmarks, grocery stores, cab spots, etc. Took a five min cab ride to the apt. Spent nearly an hour w/ us making sure we knew how to use all the keys, the lift, the kitchen, throwing out the trash, etc. Location is great, just a few mins from a lot of the attractions including Piazza Navona, St angelo Castle, Trevi, & Colloseo. Walked nearly everywhere w/o problems, even late at nite..Area has a lot of police presence as well, never had any problems. 2 area grocery stores within 100yds, made use of both..About a dozen area eateries withing the same distance, anything you wanted. The apt is bigger in person than in the pics..smaller kitchen just the essentials. The bed was hard, the bathroom just off the loft was adequate & sink was bigger than most in Italy. Would suggest better bedding/matttress & a guest book so others can see who has stayed here in the past. Otherwise, no complaints & would stay here again. Excellent work by The Key to Italy staff. Thanks for an enjoyable trip. Jay
It's been a pleasure Jay, thanks for your kind comments! Giovanni
We spent 8 nighs in Rome in this apartment and enjoyed every minute of it. The location is perfect. We were within walking distance of all the major sites, an excellent outdoor market at the Campo diei Fiori, and pulic transportation via the bus and tram. The apartment was spacious, clean, attractive and very comfortable for 2 adults. We really appreciated the air conditioning on several very hot days and the elevator for the lugage. The kitchen was just functional, with a hot plate for cooking, which meant that you really could not cook a full meal there, but it was fine for breakfast and tavola calda. The refrigerator was spacious and the dishes adequate. We bought our own coffeemaker after the first daybecause the one in the aoartment only made 2 cups. The bathroom was very roomy and attractive and the sleeping loft bed was very comfortable. The only real drawback was the lack of a telephone. We did not have a European cell phone and had no way to make local calls. This became a real issue after my husband was pickpocketed and we needed to call the us. Overall, we thought the apartment was very good and we wound not hesitate to stay there again.
Hello Archie, great to hear how much you enjoyed the place. As for a local phone in the apartment, owners are generally concerned about international calls being charged to them, so they are not very open on it. However we provide extensive recommendations and tips for our clients on how you to rent cheap mobile phones that, by the way, is far more convenient to stay in touch during a trip than a fixed phone. thanks and I hope to see you soon again in Rome!
The apartment was perfect. So beautifully furnished and had everything we could possibly need. We were amazed how such a space could be so well organized and comfortable. Our main concerns when traveling in Europe are always the bed (comfort) and the bathrooms. Even if bed was a little firm both were perfect. The Gesù 2 was centrally located to everything and we found wonderful restaurants very nearby and some of our favorites were on our surrounding. The only drawback was the lacj of english channels as we watch a lot of tv in our country. Many thanks again for your professionalism and kindness in making our stay so special
We had a wonderful week in Rome staying at the Gesù 2 apartment. The neighborhood was fascinating and very ideal for our family. Location was just fantastic and we could not have imagined a more scenic setting. It was hard to choose each night which great restaurant to go to. We ate out almost every night but did enjoy the apartment for a fun family dinner with our kids one evening, really a highlight of our stay. The Gesù 2 apartment exceeded our expectations and was just great. Thanks for all the good information and tips The Key to Italy!
