The apartment Serpenti is located in one of Rome's most characteristics areas of Rome called Monti, just five minutes away from Colosseum and Roman Forum, ten miniutes from from Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. Navona square and Campo de' Fiori are a short walking distance as well.
You will find in the neighborhood several Italian restaurants with cheap prices, exclusive wine bars, lovely cafes and well-furnished groceries. Two supermarkets are in the street to let you have available all kind of food you might want to cook at home.
Convenient bus routes are located in Nazionale and Cavour streets and the main train station Termini is a few stops away. We believe the location is really comfortable as you have all the main places of Rome just at your ease.
The apartment is located on the second floor of an elegant and typical building. The large and impressive living room has windows facing the quite and pedestrian Via dei Serpenti which is famous for its shops and characterisctic palazzi.
The living room features two sofas, one of them being a comfy sofa-bed. The kitchen area has all the appliances needed for cooking inside the house. A table with chairs is at your disposal to enjoy a tasty and superb Italian meal. Full of shops downside are specialized in selling the best food we have here in Italy.
The modern and efficient bathroom is provided with a shower. As you can see from the pictures on the web-site the property has been furnished with a unique style due to the great taste of the lady owner. We believe you will feel the unique charme of this very cute and comfortable flat.
The excellent location of our accommodation allows you to reach by foot in a few minutes all the most important spots and monuments that you can find in this wonderful and amazing city.
The ancient and famous Rione Monti area is one of the most beautiful parts of Rome. With its cobbled streets and enchanting little squares it is also one of the most picturesque districts of the Eternal City.
Our family of 4 were welcomed by apartment Serpenti each day following the hustle and bustle of Rome. Via dei Serpenti is a relatively quiet street that has a real neighborhood feel. Loved the pizza at Pizzeria di Milvio and morning espressos at Caffe Brasil just across the street. Oh, the gelato next to Brasil was the best we found in Rome - and we tried many! The apartment was cozy but easily accommodated us for an extended visit. Kitchen is minimal but why cook when you're in Roma!
thanks Steve! I agree, the Monti Area is my favourite one and the restaurants and gelato shops are among the best in Rome! happy to see you've enjoyed the place! Giovanni
Helpful and efficient service and we were met at apartment as arranged. Small apartment, excellent for 2. Everything worked and it was good to be in a quiet but busy street with lots of food shops. We ate in as we enjoy market shopping and cooking I've visited and worked in Rome before and decent restaurants are very expensive. It was good to get a flat for not a lot more than a central hotel which generally I find expensive and dreary. It was handy for all ancient and modern sites on foot, so what's not to like?
thanks Alan! I hope to see you soon again! best Giovanni
We stayed in apartment Serpenti in December, the location was great we walked every where with a 7 year old and 17 month on our backs. You can see the coloseum as soon as you walk out the door. There is a little grocery store across the street as well as an ice cream store and a couple great bakeries right next door. We would definitley stay here again and would suggest it to anyone looking for a great location for a great price.
thanks Brianna! looking forward to have you back here! ciao Giovanni
We LOVED the accommodation – the apartment is very clean and beautifully appointed. The beds were extremely comfortable and we felt very safe in this apartment building.
The location was very convenient; we walked everywhere in Rome, all the major attractions are very close. The surrounding area is quiet and very pretty, being the traffic inside not allowed.
Our favourite place to eat ice-cream in Rome (we are a family with 2 children aged 13 & 9 years) was San Crispino (gelato bar)!! The most awesome, pure flavours! We visited San Crispino at Trevi Fountain three times during our vacation.
We are more than happy to recommend the services of The Key to italy to our friends and will most certainly use them again when we’re travelling.
The Serpenti apartment in Monti is in a wonderful central location. Monti has many cozy osterias, small and original local designer boutiques and antique shops. The area is not overrun by tourists (yet) and feels more like being in a village than in a large city. The little cafes across the street have the best capucchino in town and became our favorite places to start and end the day. If you like a retreat in which you can sit comfortably and look out at the world after an exhausting day of walking and sight seeing Serpenti is the right choice for you. The two windows of the apertment face the Via dei serpenti street and you can have a wonderful scenario under your eyes !! from the window in the living you feel quite relaxed at the view of people passing by and entering the cute shops downstairs. If you are looking for a nicely decorated apartment, very secure and in an area that is still authentic and lovely...Serpenti is for you!
Sara treated us like family. Coming home each night after a day of touring was a pleasure. The Serpenti was our home before leaving for a cruise. I would say "location, location, location" !!! The agency the Key to Italy has other properties available within walking distance but this one was a must. You are less than two blocks from Colosseum and close to cafes, bars, restaurants and whatever. The company arranged airport pickup and a van to take us to the port of Rome. This was our fourth trip to Rome and we will not hesitate to return to Serpenti apartment. We took advantage of a very generous discount as we were there low season. The property had a warmth that cannot be found in more expensive hotels. We were welcomed with a map and were given a lovely welcome. Grazie mille Sara, Bruno and GiovannI!
My family of three had a lovely stay at the apartment. The Key to italy and Sara are exceptionally charming and welcoming. We selected the apartment based on comments of their service and were not disappointed. Great location close to everything.. I'm still dreaming about the coffee I bought downstairs. Definitely a great place to stay when in Rome. This apartment is within walking distance of several major attractions, including Coliseum, Forum,Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps. The "rione" itself offers the vacationer a glimpse of a multi-cultural environment, interesting shops, night life and restaurants ranging from pizzerias to high-end formal dining.. I have already recommended the flat to several friends..A truly memorable stay - thanks to Giovanni and Bruno who took care of our vacation in a accurate and special way
My husband and I had a lovely stay at the Serpenti flat in Rome. It is located in a great area with a very 'local' vibe. The apartment was ideal for myself and Mark. Sara could not have been more helpful providing tourist suggestions and giving us details on the neighborhood and its many services. The apartment is well appointed with a very comfortable bed, and literally big sofa bed that suits your needs. The area is a trendy, lively neighborhood with restarurants and shops everywhere, yet the apartment was very quiet. All in all we thought that this was a great alternative to staying in a hotel and would definitely return - having not seen all the sights that we meant. Five nights just wasn't enough!
We rented the apartment Serpenti after I was told our preferred hotel was unavailable and they recommended The Key to Italy agency. So glad they did. We are a family of 4 with two children. We found the flat to be roomy for all of us and the sofa bed easily slept our two kids (ages 5 and 7). The living room space was delightful and we thoroughly enjoyed relaxing in it after a long day of touring the city. The decor was unique and and I especially enjoyed the words on the walls. We absolutely loved the area. It's 1 1/2 blocks from tons of restaurants. Everyone we dealt with was kind and they provided suggestions and tips on where to eat and go. We definitely will be using them next time we are in Rome
Spotlessly clean, great location, right price, RECOMMENDED! No luxuries, but great value. My husband and I had intended to stay three days at this apartment and then move to another part of Italy. Then we decieded to extended our stay to ten days because the location was unbeatable and the apartment comfortable, tidy and spotless. [We were there in early February.] The friendliness of the Key to Italy staff, their eagerness to help and the excellent location are the reasons of our choice. The people at the cafe/bar next door were friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend the Sara’s Apartment to explore Rome, We explored all the best places section by section using the outstanding Eyewitness guide, as well as the Knopf City Guide which has useful maps along with superb restaurant recommendations. A fabulous trip!
