Our Apartment Laterano is located in Via Merulana, on the second floor of an elegant 19th century building provided with a lift, just a few meters from the cathedral of St John Lateran which can be seen from the window of the living room.
The Colosseum and the Imperial Forum as well as the famous Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore can all be reached in just a few minutes by walking.
This 150 square meters property is tastefully furnished. Each room is decorated in different colours which gives the apartment a delightful style. The flat is ideal for visitors wishing to spend an unforgettable holiday just in the heart of ancient Rome without renouncing to the comforts of a truly spacious home.
The apartment is made up of a roomy living room with double sofa bed, three double bedrooms with ample storage space for suitcases, a large kitchen, two functional bathrooms, one with a shower and the other with a bath-tub.
The kitchen is fully equipped with electric stove and oven, microwave, washing machine, fridge and freezer. The unit features an indipendent heating system in case you are coming on winter days and it is furnished with bed linens and towels, TV and free WI FI Internet access.
The property can accommodate up to ten people. Some rollaway beds can be added if needed. The space you can find here is something you will highly appreciate. The apartment is a top class one and the area where it lies is one of the most prestigious and charming of Rome.
Our lovely Laterano flat is particularly suitable for large families, or large groups of friends being it very spacious, wide and roomy. Thanks to its great location you will be able to visit easily the wonders of the city.
I have been travelling to Italy for several times. Tired of hotels i found this flat on the Internet and have stayed here for 5 days. Laterano is very quite and relaxing. The flat itself makes it easy to prepare meals, do laundry and relax. Great place to stay if you want to be close to visit old town Rome. The unit is perfectly located for walking to nearby sites and also very close to the ruins.. Highly recommend and we will stay again next time we plan to be in Rome.
The apartment was very charming, and our family of four had plenty of room. The location was most convenient to the Colosseum, restaurants, and the train. It is on a quiet section so very low traffic except for residents and some vehicles. If you need groceries, there is a well-stocked shop across the street.. I think we had a more interesting visit because we stayed in a typical apartment instead of a hotel. The apartment and location were amazing. I was worried that there would not be enough room for my family of 5, but the apartment was very roomy and clean. The person from management, whom met us, was exceptional. She helped me with some reservations for tours that we had made, totally going out of her way to make sure we were taken care of. I really can't express how much the experience exceeded my expectations. Thank you !!
We are a family of six, with four young girls (5, 7, 9 and 10). We spent one week at the Laterano Apartment, between Christmas and New Year. The stay was very pleasant, the flat is as shown in the picture (classic and elegant furniture, a lot of space), and everything was crystal clean.The pictures on the listing just do it justice. The flat is spacious and it features a beautiful decor. A very nice and reliable place !
The Laterano was so relaxing to make a cup of coffee and walk down to Colosseum and watch all the people in the evening. The apartment is very big and the beds were quite comfortable. Great restaurants and not far away. Recommend you walk east a couple of blocks to find places at a resonable rate. We found the city buses excellent for traveling across the city (get a Roma pass card). The metro is very close and will take you everywhere. Highly recommended a small restaurant just off Barbarini square. Best gelato was in a small restaurant in Navona. Don't be afraid to walk around and look at the menus. There are some great places with decent prices. You just are not going to find them on the main streets. This was a very lovely apartment and I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to visit the Rome area.
My family had the pleasure of staying in the Laterano apartment in November. You can't ask for anything better. The location allowed us to walk EVERYWHERE, including the Borghese gardens and the Vatican, and our favorite restaurants were just steps away. The area was perfect for strolling around at night, and we always felt very safe. Giovanni was so friendly and helpful in taking our reservation and answering all of our questions, and was quick to respond to emails. I can't wait until we have the opportunity to stay here again.
I'm very keen on writing a great review for this wonderful flat in a perfect location. We just returned from our trip to Italy, we spent 4 days at the Laterano apt. in Rome. The flat was perfect for myself my wife and my daughter. The company had set up a ride for us from the airport, which is located around 40 minutes away. We met the owner's representative at the flat, he was very nice and attentive. The Lateran Apartment is locted in a central location, safe neighborhood and within walking distance to everything. Colosseum is about a 7 minute walk, cafes, wine bars and shops around the area. I would definatly stay there again. Thank you!
