My partner and our friend stayed at this rental for almost 10 days and it was perfect! The location itself couldn't have been better for us. We were centrally located in Rome (right next to the Colosseum) and within walking distance to the train station which made our day trips outside of Rome very convenient. The neighborhood itself, Monti, it's very charming. The people were really friendly and the nearby food was some of the best. We felt like we were part of the Roman fabric in just a few days. The apartment itself was everything that we expected. It was very warm when we visited Rome and we were very happy to see that the aC really did work. The apartment was clean and spacious. My Roman friend that lives a block away from this apartment is going to recommend it to visiting friends. One last note, the staff from the rental agency was very pleasant and friendly. We really had a great stay. Thank you.
I stayed here with my two daughters for three nights and loved the apartment and location. We loved the neighbourhood, we could walk to almost all the monuments and landmarks. Marco was a great help and made us feel right at home. I highly recommend this apartment.
My husband and I chose Baccina Bis based on the reviews here and the location. We found that it exceeded our expectations in so many ways. Giovanni and his staff go above and beyond to ensure their guests are comfortable. The place is immaculate and a well stocked kitchen is provided for the guests use anytime. pots, pans and other breakfast items were available for our comfort. Hassan spent a lot of time giving us tips about Rome and about the neighborhood in general. We loved that we were so close to the Colosseum and the old part of the city was a manageable walk. The restaurant across the street- Taverna dei Fori Imepriali - was AWESOME (please, try the artichoke and bacon pasta... you'll thank me!).
I would love to return and stay once again here. Thank you!
My husband and I had a great experience renting this apartment. It is clean, spacious and well-maintained. It had a very characteristic style with the wooden ceilings of typical Roman houses. The location is excellent near the monuments, subway and restaurants. You feel and live like a local. The area is full of charm with restaurants, stores, artists shops/studios and everything you need. The communications, information and check in process were handled well and the process was smooth. The rate is better than a hotel and you get a lot more room. I hope to go back to Rome in the future and plan to stay here again. Some additional tips in case you stay here. If you have a car be advised that the property has no parking, so you must plan accordingly. There is a parking garage nearby just a very short walking distance. It looked convenient for compact cars, but not big cars as the entrance was narrow. Enjoy your stay!
We spent 3 nights at Baccina Bis. The location is excellent, pretty much within walking distance of many sights and the metro is right nearby. Marco greeted us warmly even though our arrival was later than expected. Highly recommend is the restaurant a former client underlined on his review. We ended up eating there all three nights after tiring days of sightseeing. The apartment was extremely quiet as it lies on a pedestrian street, all around are lovely cobbled alleys and nice and affordable shops if you go towards Via dei Serpenti. Do not hesitate to check with Marco if you have questions. He obviously loves history and has an excellent understanding of sites.
Key to Italy agency managed our reservation very efficiently (much better than similar rental agencies in florence and venice) and Baccina Bis apartment was a first class, high standard accommodation in a very convenient location. We had wonderful and mild climate in September. Recommended.Kathy
4 nights here with my wife and two children. We loved it. We highly enjoyed our stay. This was my third visit to Rome and have stayed in some nice places, but have to say this was a unique jem. It was comfortable and spacious, with a very modern bathroom and good lighting, mirrors, hair dryer, all the things you like to have. The Colosseum was just a hundred yards away and this location was exactly what I wanted. We arrived by taxi and were greeted by Marco who assisted us with our luggage. He arranged an early taxi to the airport when we leaved, the driver was prompt and polite. Definitely would plan to stay here again when in Rome.
My family of 3 spent 5 nights in Rome, staying at the Baccina Bis apartment near the Colosseum. The apartment was spacious, very comfortable (the air conditioning was fabulous during the heat wave we encountered) and extremely well situated for visiting the city. It is 2 blocks from the Metro station and cab stand, close to lots of restaurants and shops, including a grocery store where we stocked up on breakfast items. The owner met us at the apartment (we called from the Rome airport), oriented us to the place and helped out when needed (wi fi went down one day - very important to teenagers).
With a family this size, staying in an apartment makes the visit so much more enjoyable. This is a lovely place to stay. We didn't really cook - the kitchen was small by American standards but worked well for our needs.
We spent a week in this lovely apartment and it was wonderful. My family loved to be in the middle of history and in a quiet apartment. The unique decor was a plus, we enjoyed warm sunny days in Rome. The street is a cobblestone, peacefull and beautiful one. Excellent service from Giovanni.
