Campo 'de Fiori is one of the most characteristic and lively place in Rome. The whole area houses nice bars, cafes, restaurants and places to hang out at night. During the day the piazza houses an outdoor market active since medieval times. Open Monday though Saturday. Here vendors genuin foods as cheeses, bread and all kind of fruits and vegetables. The square has always been a focus for commercial and street culture too. In fact, the surrounding streets are named for trades. Via dei Balestrari (crossbow-makers), Via dei Baullari (coffer-makers), Via dei Cappellari (hat-makers), Via dei Chiavari (key-makers) and Via dei Giubbonari (tailors).
